Our Story – First Edition Books
Paul has been collecting first edition books for the best part of twenty years. The collection that initially stocked Fine Firsts back in 2015 very much mirrored his reading and travelling preferences with a particular emphasis on 20th century UK and US authors, Latin American authors and general world literature. Paul spent most of his twenties living in Latin America where he taught English at different colleges as well as comparative literature at the University del Valle de Guatemala. Paul both buys for Fine Firsts, manages the website and lists books. As such he travels extensively in search of the right stock and networks extensively with book dealers globally.
Catherine has a particular interest in children’s literature. She has an English Literature and Music degree and has been a teacher and Headteacher throughout the North of England for three decades. Obviously, she has seen first hand the impact literature can make on child development and as well as consulting and reviewing procurement, Catherine advises on general website design and layout.
